First the Dial, Then the Round
Mines+ wastes no time on ceremony. There is no splash screen in this demo; the game loads straight onto a five-by-five grid of blue tiles set against a deep violet starfield, with a panel titled MINES running down the left edge and two buttons, RANDOM and CASHOUT, stacked to the right of the board. Before any money is staked, the interface has already posed its central question: how many of the twenty-five tiles should hide bombs, with every count from one to twenty-four on offer and one selected by default. That sequencing is the thesis of the build. In a typical crash title the multiplier curve is fixed by the studio and the player supplies only the exit; here, Pragmatic Play hands over part of the curve itself as a pre-round setting. Mines+, released on January 29, 2026, is best understood as a crash-family game whose decisive event happens before the round starts, and the useful question is what that configuration genuinely changes and what it leaves untouched.
